The Jinjurly Missing Files Spreadsheet!

All,

We've come to the part of the Jinjurly restore project where we need your help!  If you go to the link below, you'll see the 5,400+ entries in the Jinjurly Audiofic Archive that are missing MP3/M4B files.

First off, the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1n7sLNnTLECHHZfxpMqzWEkEOwSurqypuGDLaqFyTSpQ/edit?usp=sharing

Second, here are some notes to understand:
  • The spreadsheet is editable by anyone with this link in columns I and J only.  If there are other edits/notes (like "Hey, the author on this says X but it should be Y" or the like), please note that you can leave a comment on a cell in just about any cell that you want.  However, if you want me to notice a comment, please keep it in either column I or column J.
  • Column H is marked "podfic located by mods" and is something that [personal profile] mific  was able to fill out before I published this spreadsheet based on either podfics that she personally has, or from a list that we have gathered from other people. For those, unless we say otherwise, you can consider them already found so we don't need another copy.
  • IF you have a copy of either an MP3 or M4B for something on the spreadsheet that is in need (anything with a blank column H) then PLEASE fill out your username and where that username is from (DW/JL/Twitter/Tumblr) so that one of us can contact you should we have questions. In column J, please put the publically downloadable link where we can download the work.
  • The columns are self explanatory, and most of them contain only one value (one URL, one Title, etc). However, if there is more than one Fandom, Author, Reader, or Relationship, those are concatednated together in the same column.  Therefore, if there is a "Stargate Atlantis" and "Leverage" crossover, it won't be listed with either fandom, but will be instead listed by the fandoms in the order they were spit out by the database. Hopefully they are in alphabetical order, but I cannot guarantee this. Spotchecking, I found crossovers like "chronicles of narnia, supernatural" which is in order, but "harry potter, american idol, hawaii five-0, queer as folk (us), stargate atlantis" - which is not.  If in doubt, create a temporary filter and filter the column you want by "contains" and then the fandom/reader/author/relationship that you want.
  • If you try and edit any of the headers, or any data in columns A through H, you'll get an ugly "Hey, you can't edit a protected cell!" message. Don't worry about that - just know you can only edit columns I and J.

Questions?  Concerns?  Let me know!

EDIT: If you can signalboost this somewhere, please and thank you!  And let me and others know where so it can be tracked (so it's not boosted to the same community multiple times, etc).

EDIT 2: I froze the top row and column A per request.

EDIT 3: If a row is completely shaded GREEN that means one of two things: Dark green means that the issue is resolved (the file is in the archive, and the archive entry has been updated with the new link). Light green means that it's something that the archivists have already found and you needn't worry about it.

EDIT 4: If column J is shaded TAN that means that someone has located that podfic and filled in a location for the MP3/M4B.

Stuff that's not in the spreadsheet

Hi there--

I have a fair number of podfics on my hard drive: they're not mine, I just downloaded them back then. I can't remember where I got them from, but I think if might have been Jinjurly. However, some of the stuff is not listed in the spreadsheet. What do I do?

Done. (I only had two in there, fortunately!)

Another day, another thought:

Obviously you don't want too many people uploading to the archive to avoid mistakes/messes.
However, if you would like someone else helping out (assuming you're using either a UI or FTP to upload these files), I'd be happy to dedicate some time to it as well. Especially wrt uploading things, I can set a queue in my ftp before I leave the house or before going to bed and let it run through while I'm away.

(I'm assuming this would include downloading files from the spreadsheet first, rezipping them or whatever you do for the restored archive and then uploading them. All of that I'm willing to do.)

I'm so thrilled that the Archive will be restored! Glad to help in whatever small way I can.

Does this mean that the AA is going to become an active project again for archiving podfic that's been released since the hack took it down? It was such an invaluable resource for finding podfic, much the way AO3 has become for text-based fic, that I'd love to see that, though I know that jinjurly and the mods may not have time for something that epic.

Thanks for doing this!
If you don't mind a request about the construction of the spreadsheet, this isn't a huge deal but there are two things that could make the process of checking the links quicker: if the links to the archive in A were actual hyperlinks, they could be opened with one click instead of four and if there were no columns after column K, one could jump to it with the 'end' key instead of using the arrow carefully. My wrist would love you for it.

Quick note for you, my personal archive (joyunending.net) is no longer online after a major server crash in 2019, but the original stories of the podfics that are on the archive and linked there, rather than on my LJ, are all on my AO3 account, here. If anybody has time or cares enough, I'd appreciate if they'd be willing to fix the links, please? Few people comment on LJ nowadays, but they still do on AO3.

Edit: Oh! I just noticed you don't have my "Holding On" (BSG '04) ficlet. I do, though, somewhere. I burned all the BSG podfics Leviticus_lied recorded of mine to CD-R some years ago, at least, even if I don't have copies of Euphoric_aria's, and I don't think I have all the Matrix ones. I'll try to find that disc for you.

What does bright yellow mean on the spreadsheet? One of my Matrix stories has the title that colour, but the rest is tan.

Somehow, I only found this the other day, but checking my spreadsheets, I have a bunch of Inception, Merlin, Harry Potter, and Twilight that are missing. I've marked the ones I have on Column J and uploaded ones I had handy on my laptop, but I'll have to dig out my external harddrive for the rest. I'll fill in the links in the near future.
