Abandoned Archives
I've been thinking about abandoned and lost archives quite a bit today. As a friend pointed out, the Stargate fandom has lost not only WraithBait, but Area 52 as well. And as each day passes, we lose more and more fandom spaces.
Let's change that!
If you have or know of an at-risk archive, or maybe an archive that you're not wanting to manage anymore, let me know. We've got resources available and can re-home just about anything as long as we can get to it. We're here to preserve fandom - so let's get at it!

Its server got a major failure, and while all the fic seems to be safe, the software is lost and in need to be re-written, if I recall correctly what the problem was. The problem is, it's been a year, and none of the fics are up yet, so I'm starting to think that the archive can't be revived in the old place, after all.
I can try to reach Stephen about it. He's the one running this old Star Trek archive all these years. I should still have his email contact somewhere, I hope.
Does it sound like a good idea?
