LJ Age?

Okay - this is beyond rediculous...

My LiveJournal account, which I created because people need to know the status of Squidge.org (when I need to put information out there) was somehow created with me not marked as an adult. I know I'm a bit immature, but that's maturity, not age. Whenever I'm logged in, the system won't let me get to any post marked as "adult in nature". WTF? If I have a credit card and PAID for an account, shouldn't I be at least marked as 18?

Squidge.org is a totally free service. I've never asked for a dime from anyone. Graphics help, yes, but not a single dime. I know I can be slow at times with support for Squidge.org, but I've never had a PAID account that I open support requests and they just get ignored. This has been going on for like 6 months.

What the hell, people? Is this what I keep hearing why LJ sucks so much?

Can't you just edit your profile and update your birth year? I thought that's what LJ used to determine if you're an adult.

Hi. This isn't a response to this post, but I needed to ask a question and wasn't sure where to post it. I found some of your HP stories by doing searches on the internet. I love your work! I just discovered your LJ page. One problem though, I clicked the link for the Harry/Lucius stories (I LOVE "12 Grimmald Place") and got the following error message:

Do you have to put me on a list or something in order to read these?
If so, I am well over the age of 18 (I'm 39).

You might also try going to your userinfo page (or any page that has the menu up top), click Account/Viewing Options (under Site), and check your settings under "Adult Content Options" at the bottom of the page.
