Still Down
Jan. 14th, 2024 03:50 pmA storm took out power on Saturday morning, and we are still down. Apparently thousands are out of power, so we're not the only ones down. Weather is improving so we just have to wait for crews to restore power.
This is why Squidge.org is so inexpensive to run - from space out of my home. But we do need to start transitioning to datacenters to keep service uninterrupted in the future. That will cost more than our $200/month we experience now.
Database: DOWN - edit: RESOLVED
Aug. 9th, 2021 09:30 amAny website (besides Images or SquidgeWorld) that relies on database connectivity is currently down. We're in a downtime due to mysql/mariadb corruption and I'm restoring, but will need further maintenance. Hopefully only another hour or so.
Edit: This has been resolved and everything should be operating normally now.

Image Hosting Updates
Jul. 29th, 2021 10:16 amTwo updates for Image hosting at Squidge.org
First of all, there's going to be a downtime starting around 10:30am Pacific time (about 15 minutes from this post) for some maintenance.
Second, people will now be required to create accounts on images.squidge.org in order to upload pictures. This is due to adult image spammers trying to scam bandwidth from Squidge.org. Yes, you're allowed to put fan based NSFW images on https://images.squidge.org - but adult dating/scam/spamming is definitely not allowed.

another outage
Feb. 14th, 2021 07:28 amWe were down from about 23:45 Friday night until about 06:00 Sunday morning due to winter storms taking out powerlines here in the Pacific Northwest. I tried to get a message out on here and Twitter, but only my tweet made it through (so follow SquidgeORG on Twitter if you can!). We live in a valley between two large hills, so cell signal isn't all that great here.
