So in the original import from the old software to the new, there were about 2,000 stories that didn't import properly.  After deleting the orphaned stories, I was able to reimport about 80% of the stories with the correct details.  Now there are only 7 stories without authors, and another ~300 that could not be imported due to errors.

If you find any stories of yours that are missing, and they are not part of the abandoned fic listing, please reupload them.  And again, if you haven't logged in since the cutover, you will need to request a new password.

So after the hacking event, I put NCISFiction.com on lockdown, changing everyone's passwords and locking down the site to read-only while I converted to a new, more secure software package.  The work for that is complete, and all access has been restored.

NCISFiction.com (as well as mirrored domains NCISFiction.net and NCISFiction.org) is now up on a software package called eFiction.  I managed to import all users (except spam users), all stories, and all comments.  You can head over to NCISFiction.com and you should see the archive in a slightly different format, but everything should still be available.

PLEASE NOTE!  I have been alerted that people who have NCISFiction.com/NCISFiction.net accounts have had their usernames and passwords stolen by hackers!  The hackers were able to gain access to the NCIS database, containing email, usernames, and passwords.  We are working to mitigate the issue, and everyone's password has currently been expired.  If you intend on using NCISFiction.com or NCISFiction.net, you will need to change your password.

Additionally, if you use the same email address and password for other services, you should change your password on those sites as well.

We are getting a speed upgrade today, so we will be going down soon (~10am) until they bring us back online - about an hour.

There may be multiple short downtimes today, due to some maintenance done by our ISP.  The upgrade is to increase our service speed, but it will require them to change out some equipment.  They haven't given me an ETA as to when the technician will show up, just "Sometime today."

Mea culpa.
So we were down until about 4pm, when the power came back on.  But this new server that I set up, I forgot to set something in the computer's bios to automatically reboot on power failure, so it automatically recovers.  That's my fault, and I apologize.
Secondly, after my husband got the server rebooted, I found our initial network issue came back.  Not sure why, but it did - which it shouldn't have since we're on a brand new server.  But I think I found the issue behind it *finally*, and resolved it.
As of 18:30 Pacific time, we are all back up.  And I hope it stays that way!!!

Downtime

We are in an extended downtime due to hardware failure. I'm working on the new server to get it up asap!

We have acquired a new webserver, which should hopefully help with some of the stability issues we've seen as of late.  Over the next few days, I'll be prepping that new server to make sure everything is up to date, installed, and ready to go.  And once that is completed (probably mid next week) we will do a switchover.  It should be transparent to end users, though there will be some downtime involved.

I'm adding in some new hardware and will be having to unplug and move some servers around, so there will be intermittent connectivity issues between 4pm and 5pm today.  All services will be affected.

We've got a flaky network card that is hampering access on random occasions for several minutes at a time. There will be a hardware switchout later tonight or Friday morning, taking us down for about 30 minutes, but which will hopefully resolve our issues.

Good news! We are all back up and running. Looks like we had a few issues that were resolved with some proper reseating of cables, and then a quick networking issue - but we're up now!

I need to install a new UPS (battery backup) so there will be a very quick downtime at 11am Pacific time as I shut down machines and rewire.
