Summer of Ships Fundraiser!

It's not only summertime up here in the Northern Hemisphere, but it's also time for Squidge.org's annual fundraiser! This year, we're going for the theme of Summer of Ships! It's Summer, and fandom is almost always about ships - whether it be the popular Jack/Daniel or Sheppard/McKay from the Stargate series to the not-so-subtle Myka Bering/Helena "HG" Wells from Warehouse 13, to the more obscure Hooty [The Owl House]/Duolingo Owl pairing. Whatever your ship is, we're celebrating here at Squidge.org and SquidgeWorld!
We have a goal of raising $2,000 which should cover all of Squidge.org's expenses for the next year - and you can help! Simply click here, and you'll be taken to PayPal to make your donation. Or if you're already at PayPal, simply send a donation to donations@squidge.org
Later, we'll have a graphic available to show your Summer of Ships Squidge Donation Drive support. For those who give a larger amount, you'll have the option of receiving a Summer of Ships sticker, coffee cup, or even a tee shirt! More details on that to come.

Date: 2024-08-07 10:41 pm (UTC)And don't forget - if you want some Cerner help, or even a look at our PowerPlans, just ask. I can happily send you a copy of some of ours. And if your Informatics folks have questions, I'm always willing to answer questions. If they're in Pharmacy and listen to the latest ASHP Technician podcast, the Walter in the episode is me. And I mean it when I say I'm always willing to lend a hand to other sites that need it. :)

Date: 2024-08-08 06:51 pm (UTC)Aww, thanks, Walter! Fortunately, one email referencing the policies we'd been violating for months (in my case - but for years, in some other RNs' cases!) by NOT having these orders and power plans in place prior to administering all the biologics we give, was all it took (you know how TPTB hate paper trails!) to light a fire under the team responsible... It took a little over a month but now we've got power plans for everything (Fasenra, Xolair, Nucala, Tezspire, Dupixent & Tecentriq), so we're no longer chasing doctors down AFTER we've given the injections.
(I'm shocked none of the nurses sent an email about this before, and only complained verbally... for two years, yes, but verbal-only complaints are easy to dismiss and they're all nurses who went to nursing school way before EMRs, so they type by the "hunt and peck" method. So no one ever put it in an email!)
Anyway, best of luck meeting the Squidge fundraising goal! Happy to help! I was using Squidge in the late 90s when the dSA archive moved there from Hexwood... Plus using assorted other sites (like MRKS.org) housed on Squidge.bLittle did I know that years (decades!) later I'd be co-modding an exchange with the person who made it possible! I 💜 Squidge and it's place in the history of fandom -- thank you SO MUCH for being the person behind it all, making it all possible, way before AO3! Cheers!
