Squidge.org Is Looking For At Least One More "Officer"

I'm starting the non-profit paperwork right now, and currently Squidge.org has two people as "officers".  However, we're required to have a minimum of three people to file the non-profit paperwork.  Are you willing?  Can you help a nonprofit out?

Requirements AFAIK: 

• USA based people preferred
• Will need your legal name as part of the filing
• Will need to "attend" (either Zoom or Discord) a meeting twice per year to make sure everything is on the straight & narrow.

I know the name squidge.org, and yet I can't place it. What is the non-profit for?

If you're more of a fandom elder, Squidge.org was one of the first places on the Internet for fandom spaces. We've been around since 1994.

edit: Sorry, didn't answer all your questions. The non-profit is essentially to create an organization, much like OTW is for AO3, that will outlast me. I'm the guy who started Squidge.org back in 1994.

Cool. I am a fandom old, and in fact was one of the original Board members who set up OTW.

What are you planning to archive (I assume archive)? If you say art/vids, I definitely want to know more.

Oh that's awesome!

Right now, Squidge.org hosts a few archives (personal and multi-fandom) plus SquidgeWorld, an AO3 clone that used to be Peja's WWOMB, plus mailing lists, image hosting, and (soon) video hosting.

I am unsure if I'm qualified to actually help, but I am definitely capable of having my name be on paperwork and showing up to occasional meetings.

I adore Squidge.org and would love to be more involved. However, I'm aware I tend to jump into projects and then just kind of drift. But "show up a few times a year and maybe file things occasionally" is within my range.

I'm somewhat aware of how nonprofits work (although most of my research was into religious nonprofits... the requirements for legal churches are whacked). (I cannot overstate that point; if you slap the word "JESUS" in your documentation somewhere, you can dodge about 90% of the legal requirements for all other kinds of legal entities.) (Not recommending. Just noting.)

Right now we've got enough volunteers at the moment, and our incorporation papers just showed up with officer names. But once we are completely official (I've got a few things left to handle) I'll keep you in the loop if you'd like. Thank you so much for offering!
