The End of Squidge.ORG and other sites?

The United States Congress is having hearings today on the Protect IP act, which will basically mean the end of Squidge.org, LiveJournal.com, Youtube.com, and any other site that hosts "re-imagined" information such as FanFiction, Karaoke Videos, or the like.

If you're in the United States, please head over to AmericanCensorship.org and do your research - and contact your members of Congress!

There's a wonderful -- free -- service that will send a card to your rep in congress. Sendwrite will send a paper letter to your congress person and they have something of a template you can use to help write your message...

Well, that's essentially a good development... 3000 may not be an overwhelming number but hopefully it's representative enough and goes to enough different Congressmen/women to be something of an impact.
